The nineteenth edition of the Asian Film Festival, an event organized by Cineforum Robert Bresson under the artistic direction of Antonio Termenini, ended in Rome at the Farnese Arthouse on Wednesday 13 April.

The awards decreed by the jury chaired by Elena Bindi and composed of Inti Carboni, Fabia Bettini and, for the verdict of the Newcomers section by the Unint students, went to the following works, directors and actors:

Best Actress – Kaya Kiyohara in In The Wake (Takahisa Zeze, Japan, 2021)

Best Director – Taiki Sakpisit for The Edge of Daybreak (Taiki Sakpisit, Thailand, 2021)

Best Picture – On The Job, The Missing 8 (Erik Matti, Philippines, 2021)

During the evening, the award ceremony of the Moviemov Italian Film Festival (11th edition), the great Italian auteur cinema in the Philippines and Thailand, was also hosted, which saw the award given by Fabia Bettini and Gianluca Giannelli to Pietro Marcello and Francesco Munzi , directors with Alice Rohrwacher of the opera “Futura”.
